MOVE-OUT TIME

Tenants must be moved out by 11am on the last day of their lease.

  • Failure to vacate by 11am will result in a fee of $25.00 per hour charged to the security deposit.

KEY DROP-OFF

Keys can be dropped off in the silver drop box at:

The drop box is located outside of our office to the right of the front doors.

Key must be labeled with your address before dropping them off.


BURLINGTON TENANTS

Keys can be left on the kitchen counter with the apartment door unlocked.

Our building manager will grab the keys after you are moved out.

CLEANING PROCEDURE

Tenants must take photos of their units after cleaning.
Please send photos of your cleaned apartment to (256) 743-4478.

  • ENTIRE APARTMENT

    • Every surface and ledge should be dusted.
    • All floors must be swept and moped.
    • Every wall should be in good repair.
    • Ceiling fans and light fixtures should be turned off and cleaned thoroughly.
    • Windows must be cleaned with window cleaner.
    • Blinds must be clean and in working order.
    • Outlets and switch plates should be cleaned and free of dirt.
    • Light bulbs must be working in all fixtures.
    • Smoke and CO2 detectors must be properly installed and operational with good battery.
  • KITCHEN

    • Stove should be wiped down. Oven cleaner should be used.
    • Oven racks and broiler should be clean.
    • Refrigerator should be clean of all food, debris, and mold.
    • All kitchen cabinets and drawers should be checked for crumbs and dirt.
    • Be sure the area under the sink has been cleaned and all items removed.
    • Fixtures should be wiped clean and free of watermarks.
    • Drains should be clear of debris.
  • BATHROOM

    • Bathroom tile, tub, and sink should be wiped clean – free of soap scum and mold.
    • Toilet bowl, seat, and around the base of the toilet should be cleaned thoroughly.
    • Fixtures should be wiped clean and free of watermarks.
    • Drains should be clear of debris.

TRASH DISPOSAL

  • Any garbage which does not fit in the cans or dumpsters should be bagged and left nearby the trash area (leave a 6 foot distance from dumpsters).
  • Over-sized items such as furniture and other large items should not be left in the garbage area or on the curb.
  • Any items removed by management will incur a moving charge.
  • Tenants should move these items to the city dump or request a special pickup from the city.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

  • Please provide us with your new address before or upon your move-out date.
  • Security Deposits are mailed out within 21 days of your lease end date.
  • We try to have checks sent out as quick as possible.
  • One Security Deposit check will be written for each lease, regardless of how many people are listed on the lease.
  • The check will be written to all names listed on the lease, and all named persons will have to sign the back of the check.
